- Fujeriah
The easternmost of the United Arab Emirates, Fujairah is the only Emirate not to have a coastline along the Persian Gulf. This area is a haven for divers. The glorious sandy beaches in Fujairah overlook the famous ‘Snoopy Rock’, an island shaped like the cartoon character. Around the rock you can go snorkelling and even take short diving courses. Here the marine life is plentiful with many different types of beautiful exotic fish, rays and the harmless Black-Tipped reef Shark. - Ajman
The Emirate of Ajman, the smallest of the seven Emirates, lies on the coast of the Arabian Gulf and its port is located along a natural creek. With a charm of its own that stems from boat building traditions, here you will find the craftsman who fashion the characteristic dhows and boums that ply the Arabian Gulf's waters with the same techniques their forefathers used. Features of times past remain in Ajman, including the fine old watchtower at the town’s entrance and large fort in the town centre. Ajman is an ideal beach holiday for families as the Emirate is quieter than Dubai.
- Ras Al Khaimah
Considered the 'Wild West' of the United Arab Emirates Ras Al Khaimah combines ruggedness and beauty that can be seen in its traditions and scenery. The Khaat area, is a resort that is well renowned for its thermal springs and is highly recommended for spa treatments and golfers will enjoy this are also. The nearby Masafi district is also well known for its natural water and orchards.
- Musandam – Oman
The Musandam peninsula is an exclave of Oman, separated from the rest of the country by the United Arab Emirates. Here you can forget the shopping malls, skyscrapers and all commercial trappings as they are replaced by rugged mountain scenery and fjords. The large number of fjords have given Musandam the name 'Norway of the East'. It is renowned for clear waters perfect for diving and is also the place to observe marine life and birds.
