The Colony Club is an exclusive retreat which combines elegance with a colonial charm, it is located at Porters, St James on the west coast of Barbados. Formerly a gentlemans club it has been restored to its former glory and boasts seven acres of impressive landscaped gardens leading down to a glorious beach. The hotel is ideal for couples, honeymooners and families with older children, seeking an exclusive retreat with impeccable service. The Colony Club offers 96 rooms and suites which are furnished with whitewashed wooden ceilings, some offer beautiful 4 poster beds, while many of the luxury poolside rooms enjoy direct access to the four freshwater swimming pools. The resort also operates a daytime water taxi between other west coast hotels within the same group.

Another benefit of the hotel being apart of the "Elegant Hotel Group" is that you are able to "dine around" the different properties. Credits are given according to hotel and board basis booked and local supplements are applicable. Transportation between resorts, other than the west coast water taxi, are at your expense. Turtle Beach can "dine around" freely between Crystal Cove.
